• 96% of MNU’s 2018 Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates passed the NCLEX-RN® exam on the first attempt—higher than state and national averages. For the last 10 years, our nursing graduates have exceeded the national pass rate; and, for the last 12 years, they have exceeded the Kansas average pass rate.

ELIGIBILITY FOR A PROFESSIONAL NURSING LICENSE IN KANSAS

The State of Kansas sets the qualifications for persons to become licensed as registered professional nurses. Completion of the MNU BSN program does not guarantee that a graduate will be eligible for RN licensure. The eligibility for professional nursing practice in Kansas can be found in the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, Section 65-115.

NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR DAISY FACULTY AWARD

The DAISY Foundation, as a part of its service to the nursing profession’s role in patient care, established the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty. The purpose of this program is to provide to colleges/schools of nursing a national recognition program they may use to demonstrate appreciation to educators for their commitment and inspirational influence on their students. The Foundation hopes that, in some way, this program will contribute to a positive work environment for faculty in schools.
