Statement of Purpose
In the Teacher Education Department, we focus on helping teacher candidates develop spiritually and apply their knowledge through apprentice relationships and data-driven learning. As an MNU Teacher Education graduate you will have the tools to enthusiastically serve all learners, lead in various content areas, contribute to your professional community, and through resourceful and innovative thinking, design student-centered instruction that embodies the interdisciplinary nature of knowledge.
Licensure options are also available. We are accredited through KSDE and CAEP.
Application
Application to the teacher education program is a separate admission process than applying to MNU.
Additional Teacher Education Paths and Programs
RISE
Through MNU’s RISE program, prospective employers’ partner with the Teacher Education Department to provide placement sites and mentors for select teacher candidates. Those “drafted” by a given school or district complete field and clinical experiences in that school or district.
KANSAS TEACHING PATHWAY
Kansas High School Students who complete a Kansas Teaching Pathway program are eligible to transfer 6 credit hours of coursework from your Pathway program directly into your education major for degree completion at MNU. That’s the equivalent of transferring two courses!
